Don't Call It A Comeback

The blog experiment is sadly coming to end...much like poor Brock Boyle's NLL careers. To be honest the "Pluckology" section of the site is serving the same purpose as the blog. I can chirp from there and don't have to log into a seperate site.

I will kill this thing on Monday, you know to find me.

Don't Let Your Dreams Just Be Dreams...

Once and for all it has been proven. There really is no place in lacraussie for a so-called "24-hour" news cycle. NCAA previews, high school boxscores and the odd fluff piece about how kids play too much damn lacrosse...that is all we really want.

I popped by IL.com today for an update on the slow death of the Chicago Shamrox and was smashed in the face with full on marketing assault for the latest venture of MP 22/7/0 or whatever he sports these days. DVD, podcast and a chance to purchase the full length 'Lacrosse Rockumentary'. Somebody please stop the madness.

"If you're not trying to get better at something you are wasting you time."

I will let you all be the judge of how his time is spent.

Enjoy your Wonderboys and only buy one if you like to play lacrosse.

Exonoriate Me, Then Forget About Me

You ever spend time in a Slovak prison? How about Bled Hall in St. Kittys?

Sorry I have been neglecting my Ebay duties, but I have spent the last 4 days in the big house. To make a long story short we have been manufacturing our knock-off lacrosse goodies in Bratislava, Slovakia. I was crossing the border with this week's inventory for pluckingcorners.com and we were locked down by the Slovak border patrol. No, not for making knock off lacrosse equipment that we sell incredibly cheap.

It turns out we were in violation of a long held Slovak custom of all men sporting banana hammocks and cookie dusters.

Anyway, I traded a pair of STX Shogun goalie gloves for a baby blue marble bag, grew out a 'duster and took part in my first prison break.

All in the name of plucking. Viva Slovakia and keep your hands off the Gabcikovo dam! Muncha, you better take advantage of pluckingcorners.com because your aren't getting free gear anymore.

The Real King

If you aren't wearing this guy's gloves...what are you wearing??

You think your name is going to be on that plaque?

From Commander Mike "Viper" Metcalf:

"Gentlemen, you are the top 1% of all PLUCKERS -- the elite, the BEST of the best. We'll make you better. PLUCK at least two combat missions a day, attend classes in between, and evaluations of your performance. Now in each PLUCKING sequence you're going to meet a different challenge. Every encounter is going to be much more difficult. We're going to teach you to PLUCK the F-22 right to the edge of the envelop, faster than you've ever PLUCKED before -- and more dangerous. Now, we don't make policy here, gentlemen. Elected officials, civilians, do that. We are the instruments of that PLUCKING. And although we're not at war, we must always act as though we are at war."

There are no points for second place. Dismissed.

Relax

Is Anybody Out There?

If I could change the things I’ve done
Would I be the only one
To with again if only I could take your pain away
And think of better, better things to say
The highest price I’d gladly pay
For you to live, just golden days, golden days, golden days
So celebrate the moment now, have all that you desire
We’ll keep each other warm, together we’ll weather the storm
The children are dying and nobody’s crying
There’s got to be something out there, someone who cares
Got to be something out there
*Give me real life, the worry and the strife
I’ll throw it out of the window, to the dogs below
So come with me I’ll guide you through wardrobes of fantasy
And treasure chests of what could be
A world without anxiety
A legacy of golden days, golden days, golden days
Leave it all behind the blind leading the blind
Have all that you desire
Gotta be, gotta be someone out there
Let’s break the rules scattering the jewelsOf joy amongst ourselves
The lonely, lonely of the shelvesFeel good about yourself, I’ll drink to your health
Have all that you desire
I’m looking for something, and I don’t know what it is
Oh, yeah I almost forgot. Cheap SC21 shafts tonight.

Helmetwheelie.com

The "O" is known for the the helmet wheelie and it is quickly infiltrating lacrosse. Your know the guys who look out of the second set of bars on their helmets. Bangs flowing in their eyes or maybe a gangsta UA skull cap with the band showing.

Get yourself a new Pro7 and avoid looking like Speedin' Stevie Toll this season.

Turkey Time

Does he get a Presidential Pardon...no way!

Like the cartoon characters that currently define our sport, today is all about the turkey.

Unlike Thanksgiving which wouldn't exist without our feathered friends, lacrosse survived for a million years before someone decided we needed guitar playing malcontents who hate the game, trick shot artists and a propped up "pro" league that only exists as a marketing tool and to provide content for the "media".

So give thanks today for everything that is good about lacrosse: two way middies, coaches who let you play, backhanders and most importantly cheap lacrosse gear from pluckingcorners.com!

The turkey is in the oven and we are off to the Erin Fall Fair.

'09 line includes a remake of these shorts

Wimbledon champion, US Open title...lacrosse product guru.

It is reported that Stan was influential in Adidas's grappling division getting into lax. He is a long time fan of the game and officiates spring trip games in Hilton Head each spring.

His shoes work well, how about his arm pads?

No Glove, No Love

ALERT: You guys are getting the hang of this...12 Xcaliburs gone in 12 minutes! Nice work.

Gentleman,

Time to introduce a new way to pluck. This Friday we are going to offer STX K18 Custom Gloves at a very special price. Pass the word and this blog along to your team captain, coach, booster club, travel team coordinator or fired up team mom.

We understand that this is a new way to shop and some of the older folks/decision makers may be a little reluctant to get involved in our "googling". If you run into this, have them give us a call before Friday. We can prove our legitimacy and you can hook your squad up with fresh new mittens.

P)609-737-4440

Format

1. We will list a limited number of "orders" at pluckingcorners.com on Friday at 6:00 P.M. The "order" will consist of a minimum 24 pair of custom gloves. An organizer from your group will pay the price of one pair of gloves as a deposit to secure the ridiculously priced custom gloved order.

2. A team sales coordinator from Plucking Corners will contact the organizer on Monday morning to discuss specifics: colors, sizes, logos & numbers placement, sizes, etc.

3. Plucking Corners will produce schematic of the gloves using the above information and will email .PDF versions to the organizer.

4. The organizer will sign off on the design or request changes.

5. Once the design is approved, the organizer will provide a list of units ordered, sizes and corresponding numbers (if applicable).

6. At this time Plucking Corners will produce an invoice and a 50% deposit will be required.

7. The balance on the invoice will be due when the gloves deliver. This will occur in approximately 90 days from date of the deposit.

ScTi Pro & Proton Power Strung - just like one of these surprises...if nobody knows about it how can you not do it.

Brine Trucker Hats...Like a Tsunami

Do you guys remember when the tsunami hit New Orleans and that model was caught in the tree? My man CNN Anderson Cooper explained how the sea went out and then raced back in.
Well my other man in the Far East, Tom Phair, told me that trucker hats are about to have their own tsunami. Everyone over there is wearing them and you won't be far behind.
Above you see the latest offerings from DQM. They help to determine what is cool in the US.
Grab one at pluckingcorners.com and find yourself way ahead of the storm surge.
FYI - We are going to let everyone down with an offering for the girls tomorrow. I do promise to fulfill your wildest fantasies on Friday.

No offense, but look at these guys up front and their bags. Tonight is your chance to avoid looking like these donkeys.

Vista...Pissta

Thanks to everyone for making our first week a huge success. Well, everyone but the dudes who built our site. For some reason you folks out there that do your Googling with internet explorer version 7 or 8 can't seem to find the shipping options.
Back to the good times - people seem fired up about the concept, product flew out the back door and some wacky message boarders figured out how to tap into our inventory list.
Lets try and keep things rolling. How about a Torque for $35 off MSRP...who wants some?
If your browser won't allow you to take part in the shenanigans, just give us a call or send over an email and we can get you your goodies the ol' fashion way.
Can you taste the Proton Powers?

Outsourcing

For all you forum trolls - this is how we keep our costs down.

You guys went crazy for the Maverik gloves. Thanks for showing Sweeney and the fellas the respect they deserve. Maverik is on its way up.

We are also compiling your requests for product. Our plan is to list a new product each week day and we promise to get to everything. Proton Powers, magnets, Brett Queener autographed flat brims - it is our duty to list that booty.

We are going to take a break this weekend. Order a cheap mesh kit and string up a couple of racquets.
